The sand in the hourglass continues to empty as MLS, NWSL, and USL (Championship and League One) regular seasons come down to the wire and teams begin preparing for playoff soccer. Whether team operations staff are mapping out potential travel scenarios or front offices are readying to host any number of home playoff matches, this time of year is usually the final busy stretch before fully shifting gears to the following season.

As we know, next year is no ordinary year, and teams across the entire North American ecosystem will begin to intensify their plans to activate around the 2026 FIFA World Cup. From host and training cities to those on the fringe of the sport, everyone will be looking for ways to get a piece of the pie and capitalize on the most consequential soccer event on the continent since 1994.
